This month, the CKS Cloud team headed to Las Vegas for DynamicsCon 2026. One of the most dynamic gatherings in the Microsoft ecosystem.
Four days. Thousands of attendees. Hundreds of sessions. And a clear theme running through it all: real-world execution is driving the future of Dynamics.

After our time at DirectionsNA last month, DynamicsCon offered a different – but equally valuable – experience. Less partner-only, more community-wide. Less theoretical, more practical, and just as impactful.
Here’s a look at what stood out.

If DirectionsNA is where partners align, DynamicsCon is where the entire ecosystem comes together.
From Microsoft MVPs and product experts to implementation partners, ISVs, and end users, the diversity of perspectives creates something unique: conversations grounded in real experience.
With over 3,000 attendees and 300+ sessions, the scale is significant – but it never felt impersonal.
Instead, it felt collaborative.
Whether it was in sessions, at sponsor booths, or during post-session conversations, one thing was clear: the community isn’t just talking about change, it’s actively building it.

Let’s be honest… conference sessions can sometimes lean heavy on slides and light on substance.
That wasn’t the case here… DynamicsCon is built around practitioner-led content, with sessions focused on real implementations across Dynamics 365, GP, and the Power Platform.
Across the board, the themes were consistent:
- AI and Copilot are no longer “what’s next” they’re already embedded in workflows
- Business Central continues to evolve as a hub for integrated, cloud-first operations
- Implementation success increasingly depends on ecosystem alignment, not just technology
Our team approached sessions the same way we did at DirectionsNA — divide, conquer, regroup.
And once again, the payoff was immediate: sharper insights we can bring directly into client engagements.

For some on our team, DynamicsCon 2026 wasn’t just another event — it was a return more than six years in the making.
And it didn’t disappoint. One of the highlights of the week was diving into sessions that weren’t just informative, but genuinely memorable:
- Partnering Better with Microsoft
- A standout session by Eric Fink that unpacked how to more effectively collaborate with Microsoft US
- Something that directly influences how partners drive success for clients.
- Change Management in Practice
- This session added meaningful context to project readiness
- Especially when it comes to setting expectations, managing adoption, and
- Ensuring long-term success on the client side.
- Beyond the Warehouse: What Else Does Tasklet Factory Do?
- A great reminder that even familiar solutions have more depth than expected.
- This session highlighted capabilities well beyond warehouse management
- Thanks to Ed and Ivan for opening that up!
- Website & AI Strategy
- Jon Rivers consistently delivers sessions that are equal parts practical and empowering.
- This one offered valuable guidance on evolving digital presence alongside AI capabilities.
- Tato: AI-Powered Project Management Demo
- One of the more exciting moments of the conference
- Seeing how AI is being applied to project management in real, tangible ways.
- Not future-state thinking, but tools that are already reshaping delivery.
But beyond the sessions themselves, one thing stood out even more: Reconnecting with partners and ISVs we hadn’t seen in years.
That alone made the trip worthwhile.

If there’s one consistent takeaway from both DirectionsNA and DynamicsCon, it’s this:
You can’t replicate in-person momentum. While DynamicsCon is different from DirectionsNA, the same principle held true. Conversations that might take weeks over Teams or email happened in a matter of minutes.
From quick introductions to deeper solution discussions, the pace of engagement accelerated everything:
- Aligning on client scenarios
- Exploring complementary solutions
- Pressure-testing ideas with peers who’ve “been there before”
At DynamicsCon, those conversations extended even further – bringing in end-user perspectives that sharpen how solutions are actually delivered in the real world.

Beyond the sessions, the expo floor told its own story.
With 100+ sponsors and solution providers, DynamicsCon becomes a live showcase of what’s actually being built, used, and implemented today.
From AI-driven enhancements to integration accelerators and industry-specific add-ons, the common thread was practicality.
No hype. No theory. Just solutions designed to solve real problems.

That aligns closely with how we approach our own work at CKS Cloud: technology only matters if it delivers outcomes.

If DirectionsNA sharpened the strategy, DynamicsCon reinforced the execution.
The two events complement each other:
- DirectionsNA → Partner alignment, roadmap discussions, ecosystem strategy
- DynamicsCon → Real-world validation, hands-on learning, community insight
And together, they paint a clear picture of where the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem is heading:
Toward deeper integration.
Toward embedded AI.
Toward faster, more outcome-driven delivery.

As always, the real value of events like DynamicsCon isn’t what happens onsite: it’s what happens after.
We headed back to work with:
- New perspectives on active client challenges
- Stronger relationships across the ecosystem
- Practical ideas we can immediately apply to implementations
And most importantly, a renewed appreciation for the people behind the ecosystem; the partners, ISVs, and experts who continue to push it forward.
