As we move through 2025, Microsoft continues to evolve its product ecosystem—retiring legacy platforms and introducing modern, cloud-first solutions. This fall, several widely used Microsoft products will reach their official End of Support (EOS), marking a pivotal moment for organizations still relying on them.

According to Microsoft’s official lifecycle announcements, October 14, 2025, is a major milestone. On this date, the following products will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support:
- Windows 10 (Enterprise, Education, Home, Pro, IoT Enterprise, LTSB 2015, and Team/Surface Hub editions)
- Azure: Azure Basic Load Balancer, Azure HPC Cache, Azure Remote Rendering, Azure Service Map, and More
- Office 2016 and Office 2019
- Exchange Server 2016 and 2019
- Skype for Business Server 2015 and 2019
- Visio 2016 and 2019
- Project 2016 and 2019
- Visual Studio 2015
- Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS)
These products have served businesses well over the years, enabling collaboration, productivity, and innovation. But as Microsoft shifts toward cloud-native platforms like Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps, and Teams, it’s time to reflect on how far we’ve come—and where we’re headed next.

If your organization is still using any of the products listed above, now is the time to act. Continuing to run unsupported software can expose your systems to security vulnerabilities, compliance risks, and operational inefficiencies.
But transitions don’t have to be painful.
